About the event
This is a paid workshop specifically designed for residents of Wayne County living in frontline communities, providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable insights and make a positive impact on their environment.
Throughout the workshop, participants will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of air pollution and its relationship to Environmental Justice.
- Learn how to navigate and effectively use the EPA EJ Screening Tool to identify and assess environmental risks in their communities.
- Explore the EPA Air Now platform to access real-time air quality data and stay informed about local air pollution levels.
- Discover the power of Carbon Mapper, a tool that helps visualize and analyze carbon emissions in their area.
- Familiarize themselves with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy tools, empowering them to access relevant environmental data specific to their state.
This workshop is a unique opportunity for participants to acquire practical skills to make data-driven decisions, and contribute to the betterment of their neighborhoods.
